Ukrainians provided 2.7% of Poland’s GDP in 2024 – UN
In 2024, refugees from Ukraine generated 2.7% of Polish GDP, and employment among Ukrainians of working age in Poland is 69% (for Poles the same figure is 75%).

Details: The report « Analysis of the impact of refugees from Ukraine on the Poland’s economy » estimated that Ukrainians living in Poland made a significant contribution to its economic growth and did not harm the local labor market.

The authors of the report emphasize that the influx of refugees from Ukraine has not led to an increase in unemployment or a decrease in real wages in Poland. On the contrary: the presence of Ukrainians contributed to the growth of employment among Poles and to increase the productivity of enterprises and workers.
Deloitte and UNCCB have found that many refugees from Ukraine do a job that does not meet their qualifications: only a third of Ukrainians with university diplomas hold positions requiring higher education.
In addition, employment is influenced by the knowledge of the Polish language: Ukrainians who can speak it freely earn an average of 700 zlotys more a month than those who know the Polish at the basic level.
The Deloitte and UNCR report is based on a model that takes into account the full impact on the economy and all public expenditures – from VAT to contributions to medical and social insurance funds.
