Ukraine Russia online: Russians have made another massive drone attack on Dnipro
Several leaders have detained in Ukraine the defensive sector suspected of supplying erroneous ammunition.
Among the detainees is the Director General of the Defense Plant in the Dnepropetrov region and his representative.
Ukrainian armed forces were supplied according to the SBU ammunition, which « proved to be unsuitable for combat use ». In addition to them, two representatives of the Ministry of Defense were also taken into custody. If their guilt is proven, they face up to 15 years of imprisonment.
Ukraine has long been fighting corruption in the army and at the Ministry of Defense. In September 2023, Olexiy of Reznikov and several of his deputies were dismissed as a series of corruption scandals.
According to the Ukrainian private television report 1+1 from the end of 2024, at least 100,000 pieces of 120 -million ammunition were withdrawn from the front line.
In connection with this, the soldiers expressed concerns about defective charges that, in their words, did not explode or remained jammed in mortars or failed to hit the goal.
The report submitted that the failures caused poor quality materials used in production, while the defense representatives responsible for control of the quality of ammunition before this fact closed their eyes. (TASR)
