U-BT Cluj-Napoca has dramatically won the title


U-BT Cluj-Napoca dramatically won the title in the National Men’s Basketball League, after defeating CSM CSU Oradea with a score of 68-67 (16-19, 21-20, 12-12, 19-16), on Friday evening, in the decisive match of the final.

« U » thus obtained the fifth consecutive title and the tenth of its record (1992, 1993, 1996, 2011, 2017, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025).

Two minutes before the end, the villagers were leading 65-62, but the Clujians returned and Simpson scored the Victoria basket when there were 26 seconds. The hosts missed, through Kris Rochard, the Victoria basket with three seconds left to dispute.

The team coached by Mihai Silvășan won on his own ground, with 92-83, after which he obtained the decisive victory in Oradea, with 68-67.

CSM Oradea remains with three titles in the record (2016, 2018, 2019) in eight finals, the last four with « U ».

The podium was completed by CS Vâlcea 1924, which passed CSO Voluntari with 3-2 general, 79-75 in the decisive match on Friday evening.
