Two minors sentenced to 9 and 7 years in prison, the third to an educational measure – Liberation

The Nanterre children’s court sentenced two minors on Friday, June 13 and seven years in prison on Friday, June 13, tried for the anti-Semitic rape of a 12-year-old Jewish girl in 2024, in Courbevoie (Hauts-de-Seine). The other two minors, who appeared in detained, were 13 years old at the time of the events, so could be sentenced to an imprisonment. They incurred a maximum sentence of 10 years. When reading the decision, the president of the court justified the heaviness of the sentence pronounced against them « Notwithstanding their young age and important educational deficiencies, with regard to their always worrying personality and the immense social disorder in society and (to the victim) and because of what she was: a young girl of Jewish confession ».

These two teenagers appeared to rape in a minor meeting under the age of 15 at the rate of religion. The third, ex-boyfriend of the victim, was tried for complicity in this crime. « His instructions and his simple presence helped the commission of these rapes », estimated the court. « It is undoubtedly that (the victim) would not have been violated or raped if she had not been Jewish », added the president of the court.

The three minors were also prosecuted For a sexual assault on a minor under the age of 15, attempted extortion, capture, recording or transmission of sexual images, violence in meeting with incapacity for work greater than eight days on a minor under 15 years of age and non -public insult, these offenses being aggravated because they are committed because of religion.

The young victim had reported to police officers that he had rape in a meeting on June 15, 2024 in this Parisian suburban city. The girl had then undergone several rapes by two of her attackers.

According to his first statements, one of the minors had filmed the scene, which took place in an abandoned crèche of Courbevoie, at the foot of the defense business district and not far from the pre -adolescent home. One of the minors then threatened her with death if she spoke to the police and demanded that she will give her 200 euros the next day.

These facts had strongly shocked the Jewish community and led to a unanimous condemnation of the political class, several supporting rallies holding, notably in Paris and Courbevoie. In 2024, 1,570 anti -Semitic acts were identified in France, according to the Ministry of the Interior.
