Two hours they told her to wait for admission to the hospital. She died in an ambulance
According to TVN Warszawa, a 91-year-old woman on January 20 after visiting a doctor in the clinic got a referral to the hospital with a medical transport order. Suspicion – bilateral pneumonia and serious respiratory infection.

The next day, the ambulance took the senior to the Prague Hospital, indicated on the referral. There, however, it turned out that there was no place in the internal medicine ward. The hospital also did not receive information that such a patient is to appear. The woman was sent back.

The woman died
After reaching the local SOR, it turned out that there was no place there. The doctors recommended the transport ambulance crew waiting for the bed to be released. The 91-year-old has been waiting in an ambulance for about two hours when she had a sudden cardiac arrest. The ambulance crew began the resuscitation, which was then continued by the employees of the SOR Prague Hospital. Unfortunately, after a rescue operation at the SOR, the doctor found death.
After information from the TVN Warsaw editorial office, the Ombudsman for Patient Rights took care of the case.
« In an emergency, life threatening the hospital is obliged to accept the patient and help him without a referral. Waiting by the patient for two hours, in a sanitary transport vehicle to dismiss the hospital, it should not happen. In connection with the signal about this event, the Patient Rights Ombudsman applied to the hospital for explanations » – told TVN Warsaw Katarzyna Wolska from the Office of the Patient Ombudsman.
