At 13 o’clock Fire Choir Manager Tuomas Kiskola stated that both helicopters involved in the accident had been found. They were then about 100 meters apart on the ground.

The rescue service then confirmed that it was civilian helicopters, and not the defense. The helicopters had started their journey in Tallinn in Estonia at 11.17 and were on the way to the airfield in Kumo, according to the newspaper. Helsingin Sanomat Writes that one helicopter is registered in Eastland and the other in Austria.
