Two colonels of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces in absentia received life -long for attacks on the airfields of the Russian Federation

In Moscow, in absentia for terrorist attacks, two colonels of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (Armed Forces) were condemned, who in 2022 organized the attacks of drones on the military airfields of Russia. Both defendants on the international wanted list received life sentences. Moreover, the case file says that they violated not only Russian, but also Ukrainian laws.

The second Western District Military Court considered the criminal case against the commander of the 383rd separate brigade of the aircraft unmanned vehicles of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel Andrei Dzaniya and the senior navigator of the same brigade, Colonel Sergei Burdenyuk. The 383rd brigade, or military unit No. AZ 808, is deployed in the Ukrainian city of Khmelnitsky.

According to the participants in the proceedings, in the period from October 7 to December 26, 2022, colonels, “acting a deliberately organized group with the Higher Military and political leadership of Ukraine and persons from among other military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine”, committed a series of terrorist attacks (Article 205 of the Criminal Code).

For attacks on the airfields of military units, Shaikovka (Kaluga Region), Ryazan (Ryazan region) and twice Engels-2 (Saratov region), not taking part in the conduct of Switch, they used the Tu-141 Krezh and UJ-22 Airborne, consisting of the 383rd brigade.

As a result of the UJ-22 Airborne attack on the Airfield, Shaikovka, accompanied by a detachment at an altitude of about 10 m of its combat unit, charged with amazing elements, is said in the materials of the criminal case, property damage or other serious consequences were not caused “due to circumstances that are not dependent on the accused.

“In other cases, serious consequences have come,” the case says.

As Kommersant reportedas a result of the arrival of the “cut”, the Soviet unmanned intelligence apparatus, converted into a combat missile, three more soldiers were killed in Ryazan, and seven more military personnel were injured.

Three Tu-22M3 aircraft located at the airfield were damaged, one Aviation guided missile X-32, two ZIL and KIA Sorento cars, as well as two buildings of the engineering and viability services of squadrons.

Recall that then the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported on the prevention of assassins of seedlings not only to the airfield in Ryazan, but also in Engels. The military department noted that the goal of the attack was the strategic aircraft of Russia. The raid was reflected, although the three military were killed as a result of the incident, four were injured, and two aircraft received minor damage.

According to military investigations, prosecutors and courts, terrorist attacks, which created the danger of human death and causing significant property damage, were committed in order to intimidate the population, destabilizing the activities of state authorities and impact on their decision to terminate a special military operation in Ukraine.

At the same time, the defendants, the case said, violated not only Russian, but also Ukrainian laws.

So, in Art. 15 of the Charter of the Internal APU internal service says that military personnel are obliged to know and adamantly comply with Ukraine’s norms adopted by Ukraine, which reports that “everyone has an integral right to life,” and the obligation of the state to protect it.

The court agreed with the position of public prosecutor from the military prosecutor’s office, in absentia sentenced the accused Juniya and Burdenyuk to life imprisonment with serving a sentence in a correctional colony of special regime. True, to execute the verdict of military personnel put on the international wanted list, it is still necessary to catch.
