Two sirens were not tested because they are moved, repaired or restored. In total, 164 alarm sirens have been installed in Latvia.

This solution will allow citizens to receive targeted early warning notifications on their mobile phones in a given geographical area, whether the device is connected to the Internet or for a specific operator.

The introduction of cellular broadcasting technology in Latvia is planned this year.

In cases where residents are not warned in advance of the siren check when hearing an alarm siren signal, you need to turn on the TV or radio or other devices, such as mobile phone radios and Latvian public media, information on the reason for them and the necessary action.

The SFRS performs an alarm siren test every six months.
