Turkish Foreign Minister at a meeting of European leaders in London on Sunday will repeat Ankara's proposal to hold direct peace talks between Ukraine and Russia.

Details: On Sunday, Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan will inform European leaders about Turkey's efforts to find a « just and prolonged peace » in the war, the source said.

The agency's interlocutor added that Fidan will also confirm Ankara's commitment to the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine.
Fidan is expected to « emphasize that Turkey, which has taken direct negotiations between Russia and Ukraine in March 2022, is ready to take on this role in the future », and will say that all parties should focus together on prolonged regional security and stability, as well as economic prosperity.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited Turkey last monthon the same day when representatives of the United States and Russia met in Riyadh in negotiations-without the participation of Kiev-in order to end the war.
