Lawyer Vladimir Tufegljic, a defender of Aleksandar Gjorcevski, said his client’s statement was clear and honest, reflecting real participation in the events. According to the lawyer, Gjorcevski’s statement managed to capture the unfounded indictment against him, and at the same time touched the indictment.

– In fact, we believe that this has somehow managed to capture the court, which consists of the unfounded indictment in it. I think his statement has also been clearly clear to the indictment of the indictment, for which we have nothing against. We also expect cross -questions, but today Alexander has expressed it to the detail the essence – said Tufegljic.

The lawyer expressed confidence that the public prosecutor would not give up easily, but stressed that arguments and evidence against Alexander did not exist.

– I personally do not expect that the public prosecutor, ie the representative of the indictment, will simply surrender. It is clear to the Public Prosecutor’s Office that there is no arguments and evidence against Alexander. What they go to are arguments and evidence, cannot be evidence and arguments in criminal proceedings. Real evidence against Alexander has not been performed. I leave the conscience of the Public Prosecutor’s Office to decide how it will decide, and of course the final decision will be made by the court – he added.

Tufegljic noted that Gjorcevski gave a clear description of the actions of the police officers, confirming the lack of unified standards for acting in such cases.

The lawyer emphasized the torture of his client, noting that Alexander was restrained in his statements. He emphasized that the statement given today is a shortened version, while the more extensive has been submitted to the Public Prosecutor’s Office, but the essence remains the same.

Aleksandar Gjorcevski said today at the Basic Criminal Court in Skopje that there is absolutely no involvement and that neither he knows nor can he see the defendants in the case of the killings of his daughter Vanja Gjorcevska and Veles from Pance Zezhovski.

Answering questions from his defense lawyer, Lawyer Vladimir Tufegljic, Gjorcevski today and in detail described his life, the relationship with his family, the moments when Vanja disappeared and the relationship with the police during the investigation.

The trial continues on Friday with cross -laws by the prosecution. After the testimony of Gjorcevski, the defendant Ljupco Palevski is also expected to testify.

The indictment states that Ljupco Palevski, Bore Videvski, Velibor Manev, Vlatko Kesishov and Aleksandar Gjorcevski, together planned the abduction of 14-year-old Vanja in order to force a member of her immediate family to give money for ransom. The abduction of the damaged Pance Zezhovski in Veles, on the indictment, was intended to force him to give their own « Citroen » vehicle to use the child to abduct the child in Skopje.

Juvenile Vanja and Pance Veles were reported missing on November 27 and 24, and on December 3, 2023, dead were found near Skopje and Veles.
