Tufegcic: Prosecutor’s Office has not proved out of reasonable suspicion that the father committed the crime that is being charged

On the basis of the father, the Public Prosecutor’s Office has not proved out of reasonable suspicion that he has committed the crime that is being charged, said Aleksandar Gjorcevski’s lawyer, lawyer Vladimir Tufegcic, following the closing remarks of the prosecution for the case of the murder of Vanja and Pance.

Tufegcic, in a statement to the media after today’s hearing at the Skopje Criminal Court, said that he was personally surprised by the prosecution’s closing remarks because, as he said, he expected strong energy and strong arguments, while on the contrary, « we received only one dry compilation of each other. »

-The only foundation of the indictment, the prosecution for the father, is that at some point, according to someone’s perception he behaved strangely, that is, he was weird. We have not heard and no evidence of any of his involvement has been offered and for these reasons I think my predictions have come true, that the prosecution will not withdraw the indictment and I believe in a righteous court ruling on the father – Tufegcic said.

The basis of the defense, Tufegcic said, is that there is no communication, nor something that would compromise the father or bring him in connection with the other defendants.

-There is nothing that would lead the father to these people, for whom enough evidence has been presented, of which every ordinary observer can make a logical conclusion that in this case the basis of the indictment has long been fallen and here is quite something else. In my opinion, a work committed to bring fear and restlessness to the population, especially in primary schools, which were the motives, it is completely unclear due to a superficial investigation and many omissions in the investigation – Tufegcic said.

According to Tufegcic, it is completely unimaginable, in the 21st century to apply torture, in the existence of modern investigative methods and technology that can reach the truth.
