TTT Riga basketball players win bronze medals in the Baltic League / Day
In the final four tournament bronze game, TTT Riga beat Klaipeda LCC with 78:71 (23:22, 22:15, 25:12, 8:22).
Rigans Kathy Vihmane scored 19 points and seven rebounds, Vanessa Jasa had 18 points and nine assists, Anna Liepiņa scored 13 points and blocked four shots, and Karlin Pilabere and Evelina Otto had 11 points.
Gerda Raulušaitīte had 21 points and nine rebounds, 15 points and five assists for Lina Loceniece and 12 points and six rebounds for Elizabeth Bulane.
The champions were Vilnius’s « Circuit » basketball players, who beat Klaipeda’s « Neptune » with a score of 76:61 (29:16, 13:18, 16:15, 18:12).
Sidney Taylor was the most successful team in the Lithuanian capital team with 18 points. Brigita Sinickite had 14 points, while the Latvians Kate Wolf and Ruth scored eight and seven points respectively.
In the semi -finals on Saturday, Rigans defeated the Vilnius club with 75:91, but Klaipeda’s team in a duel with 88:64 was « Neptune ».
In the first division of WBBL, Latvia was represented by « TTT Riga », « Riga Stradins University » (RSU) and « Liepāja »/LSSS, Lithuania – Vilnius « Cybs », Klaipeda « Neptune », Klaipeda LCC and « Šiauliai -Vilmers », and Estonia – Tallinas TSA/ »CITTEED ».
