Trump’s first trading pact: USA and British agree
The United States and Great Britain have loud US President Donald Trump agreed on a trading pact. Trump announced the deal on his online platform Truth Social. Trump wrote a « full and extensive » agreement that will consolidate the relationship between the United States and the UK, Trump.
Details on the agreement remained unclear. From British government circles it was heard that it was not a conventional free trade agreement. The deal concerns rather specific areas and represents a framework for further negotiations. The British currently apply to most export goods in the amount of ten percent, but 25 percent are collected on steel and aluminum as well as cars and auto parts. Great Britain had recently concluded an extensive and long -term free trade agreement with India, Prime Minister Keir Starmer spoke of a new era of trade after the announcement.

Trump wrote that due to the long -term common history of both countries, it was a « great honor » to be able to announce the United Kingdom as the first partner. « Many more agreements » would follow.
