Understandably, as Mr Trump « washed his hands », the burden of Ukraine's support is on Europeans and they seem to show their determination to act signs. But so far just as if. However, one of us and the Ukrainians are already a very well -known problem – the big European countries are more likely to « show determination » than to really take decisive action. Aurimas Navys, a warfare expert, ironically described Europeans accustomed to a saturated and peaceful life (not to distinguish between Lithuanians): “Despite all the technological achievements, we are deep inside the monkey. She sees a lion in the distance, but does nothing until the lion does not eat it. Only then try to hide or fight for life. Our behavior in the face of Russia's danger is very similar. ”

Europe can do much more, but you just don't want to.

– What is your overall assessment of the current situation?

– When it comes to Europe, it is clear that it is time to finish talking and start acting. I still hear the sounds, but I don't see any specific actions. As far as the US is concerned, I see a very consistent binding deeper into the pit, which they are with digging.

Is American help important? Of course. Is it possible to do without her? Available. Mr Trump lies that US aid was aimed at several hundred billion dollars. The US has spent more than 100 billion and about 90 percent. of them « settled » in the US. The general support of European countries was higher. By the way, Ukraine has earned a good earnings in the US defense industry and she may not be very disliked by the decision of Trump.

Few people pay attention to another very serious threat not only to Ukraine, but also to NATO members in Europe – Trump's decision to cut off Ukrin from the US satellite system. And here we are not talking about stopping Starlink, but about two and a half hundred US military satellites. Cutting off them would mean not only the loss of intelligence data. Without them, the European Rocket Storm Shadow and Taurus will not fly anywhere. All European countries have maybe a dozen such satellites and they will certainly not be enough.

But the most important question today is addressed to Europe: who can show that « have eggs » and do work? « Standing with Ukraine as much as needed » is no longer enough. We have been listening to that « standing » for three years.

– Europe itself lacks armament and ammunition, but there are other, quite easy models. For example, for European money to buy armament for Ukraine from third countries.

– Of course. You don't even need to look for money. Europe has frozen 300 billion euros of Russian funds – we take them (what the Czech Republic and Finland has repeatedly offered) and we buy armament and ammunition for Ukraine in South Korea. Unfortunately, we have not even been able to do it yet. Although those 300 billion, even without frozen Russian funds, would not be too burden for Europe. Again, unfortunately, Europeans are repeating that « we are nothing without America ».

– Is Europe at all able to take action? So far, it is more like Europeans will try to « drink » to Washington and will convince Ukraine to do the same.

– This is one way. The other path to Europe was told by the Finnish President Alexander Stubb and has been repeated by Lithuania for years, but she is afraid of the Great European countries – Russia needs to be forced to seek peace because it now does not want it at all. How to force Russia? We have already said that buying all possible armament for Ukraine. We also finish playing sanctions once and take the need to take it seriously – we are no longer at all with Russia. US wants to trade? It's their business. We have to do what we can do and do not need to « reinvent the bike » – everything is clear. So far, Europe's great ones are still asleep.

– Who could wake them up?

– Russian bombs, and politicians who are not convicted of Moscow are killed in the streets of European capitals. But Russia is not stupid and will not be missed by Berlin or Paris rockets – allowing them to sleep. It could be somehow fun to strike for Lithuania or Latvia. The big ones in Europe would probably not do anything. Let's admit this bitter truth – Europe also acted with Ukraine at the beginning of the war. He promised some support, but basically he said the war was a matter for the Ukrainian. Europe can do much more, but you just don't want to.

Let's get rid of that slave syndrome that someone has to allow us to secure our survival.

– If Europe is not going to wake up, Ukraine remains only the first path – to secure US help again?

– And this is not a guaranteed road. The US does not intend to change or resolve anything. The position of the American « Istebilment » is clear: he does not care about the Ukraine or the Baltic States, which can be defended as much as it coincides with the US interests, and at present it does not match the interests of the US. Right – light, the US position has always been like that. Maintaining good relations with the US is extremely important, but we have to admit ourselves that most of us depends on ourselves and finally to stop in the face of an existential threat, how someone else will save us.

And you don't have to be ashamed of Americans – they count as businessmen. It is a shame to be a Europe that has been « looking at the mouth » for America since World War II. And what did you do for your own safety and defense? Now is a great opportunity to wake up, get up and make, but I think it will not be, will not be lifted or not, because London, Paris and Roma, even Putin's hijacked Baltic countries, will probably not be too much for the possibility of continuing to live peacefully and to live. So, Lithuania has to act itself, but I do not see it either.

– What can we do? The Baltic States were not even invited to a summit in London.

– I am laughing at the resentment and the later satisfaction that Keir Starmer apologized for it. It is not necessary to resent. Our foreign policy decisions must « live » in London, Paris and Berlin, from morning to evening, demanding real help.

At the same time, let's help Ukraine, which defends us today. I'm not just talking about support supply. Let us accept the Ukrainian brigade in the battles and help them restore them and send them there again. But I already hear critics screaming that we will provoke Russia and NATO will never allow us to do so. But we are NATO ourselves. Let's get rid of that slave syndrome that someone has to allow us to secure our survival. The Alliance does not help us? Let's say directly with Poland, Northern countries and Ukraine. This would not mean that we cross a relationship with London, Brussels or Washington, which would be just absurd.

– So we are talking about trying to attract the US again, Europe needs to wake up and take action, and for Lithuania and other Baltic countries to work more for their own safety. But the implementation of a single way does not « shine » yet?

– There are ways. Everything is the oldest, talked and clear, but no one has started to work yet.
