US President Donald Trump spoke to graduates of the West Point Military Academy and, according to observers, turned the ceremony into a political rally. At the same time, his performance was a kind of program speech in which he outlined his views on the American armed forces and their role in the world arena. The US President assured that America would no longer impose democracy « under the gunpower of a pistol. » At the same time, he promised record expenses for the army, which would make it invincible, so that the enemies, understanding this, would not even think of challenging her. Those who do not understand this, said Donald Trump, will be « destroyed at any time, anywhere. »

On Saturday, May 24, Donald Trump spoke to the graduates of the West Pontent, the oldest US Military Academy. Once on the stands, Donald Trump immediately made it clear that it was thanks to him and his administration that the American army was “restored”, and the United States entered the Golden Age.

On the owner of the White House was his famous red cap with the slogan “We will make America again the great”, which, perhaps, is not a single political rally with his participation. Actually, this performance at the ceremony on the occasion of the release of 1002 young officers from the Academy, according to a number of American media and observers, turned into something strongly resembling a rally. The President spoke of his own merits and the achievements of his administration, released knuckles against political opponents.

At the same time, Donald Trump’s speech became largely programmatic, because, speaking in the West Poont, he revealed his views on what role the army is given to the greatness that the 47th US president promises to return to America.

Perhaps one of the key statements of the head of the White House on that day was the promise no longer « to impose democracy under the muzzle of a pistol. »

He noted that his predecessors pulled the army into various “social projects and political affairs”, leaving the borders of the United States “defenseless and exhausting the arsenals, participating in other people’s wars”. Donald Trump assured that with his coming to power, “Crusades for the construction of nations” ended, and the era of prosperity in the armed forces of same -sex love (the LGBT movement was recognized as extremist in the Russian Federation and is prohibited) and the advancement of policy has been completed.

According to him, the main task of the US Army is not to spread democracy, but « to dominate any enemy and destroy any threat to America anytime and anywhere. » Mr. Trump is sure that this can be achieved with the help of respect, which should experience all the enemies for the American army. If someone does not, then the army should be ready to « defeat the opponents of America, kill opponents of America and protect the great American flag. »

Despite plans not to carry out operations on the “planting of democracy”, the defense costs under the administration of Donald Trump should increase sharply and for the first time in the history of the United States to exceed $ 1 trillion per year.

The president made it clear that the reduction in federal expenses, which is now busy with the White House, can affect any of the spheres, but not the army. From the words of the head of the White House it followed that one of the reasons for building financing is the successes of competitors. In particular, Mr. Trump settled on the creation of hypersonic missiles, repeating his previous accusations against Russia, which, in his opinion, during the time of President Barack Obama “stole” the secret American drawings of the “super-duper” missiles.

He assured that it was the United States that were the first to develop a hypersonic missile, but “their Russian (drawings. « Kommersant ») stole.  » Nevertheless, thanks to him, Donald Trump emphasized, now everything has worked out, and the states are “collected in large quantities”.

In addition, according to the owner of the oval office, the “type of war” changes quite quickly in the modern world, and this also requires certain investments. “We see this on the example of Russia and Ukraine. We study this, and this is a very terrible thing for study. We see various forms of warfare. We see drones … We have never seen anything like it, never, and we study on this, your profession changes very quickly, ”said Donald Trump.

At the same time, it was not always clear from the speech of the owner of the White House whether the US Army of respect and success achieved, or it still has to go this path under his sensitive leadership.

On the one hand, Donald Trump clearly pointed out the problems that, in his opinion, left him the inheritance of his predecessors. On the other hand, he praised himself for already “restoring” the armed forces.

“After a few moments, you will become graduates of the most elite and legendary military academy in the history of mankind. And you will become officers of the greatest and most powerful army, which the world has ever known. And I know this because I rebuilt this army … And we rebuilt it during my first term as no one had ever rebuilt it before, ”the president turned to the graduates of the West Pontent.

The praise of the “military” successes of the States, achieved by the efforts of the administration Donald Trump, will probably not end there. Three weeks later-June 14, a large-scale parade dedicated to the 250th anniversary of the American nation should pass on the Flag Day in Washington. By coincidence, the same number turned out to be the birthday of Mr. Trump, who will turn 79 years old. More than 6.7 thousand soldiers will take part in the military parade. In addition, concerts, sports competitions and other solemn events will be held. It is expected that the organization of such festivities will cost $ 25–45 million. Many analysts believe that holding large -scale celebrations on the Flag Day is just a convenient occasion to celebrate Donald Trump’s birthday with a scale.
