Trump: ‘Gaza is a damn good space, it would be a good thing if she controlled her and owning her’ now ‘

– Having force there like the United States, which controls and owns a gauze belt, would be a good thing. If you take these people, Palestinians, and move them to different countries – and you have many countries that would do this – then you actually have a zone of freedom. You can call it a freedom zone, a free zone, a zone where people will not die every day. It’s a damn good space. You know what I call it – a great place where no one wants to live – Trump told reporters in the White House after meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Trump also wondered why Israel « left Gaza » at all.

– You take the land by the sea and give it to people for peace. How did that end? said Trump, who previously suggested that Gaza be turned into a « US owner ». Trump said that the efforts to release the hostages held by Hamas are underway, but that ensuring the release of all hostages is a « long process ».

« I would love to see that the war stops and I think the war will cease at one point, and it will not be in such a distant future, » Trump said, answering a journalist’s question about his pre -election promise to end the war in Gaza.

Israel started the war after the Hamas fighters attacked South Israel on October 7, 2023, killing about 1200 people and taking 251 hostages, according to Israeli data. Since then, Israel has killed more than 50,000 Palestinians so far, according to local health authorities.
