The US president arrived on Friday night in the Italian capital, accompanied by his wife Melania, to participate in the funerals of the Argentine Jesuit, in his first travel abroad since returning to the White House, on January 20, during which he could meet with his Ukrainian counterpart.
And former US president Joe Biden came to Italy, being among the first politicians to arrive in Saint Peter Square Saturday morning, shortly before the funeral service of Pope Francis,
Biden, the second Catholic president of the US, was accompanied by his wife, Jill Biden.
The former president is not part of the official US delegation, which is led by his successor, President Donald Trump.
