Trump after talking with Zelensky called up to 30-day ceasefire

After talking to Vladimir Zelensky on May 8, US President Donald Trump stated that negotiations with Ukraine and Russia were ongoing.

Straight language: « The United States requires, ideally, a 30-day unconditional ceasefire. We will hope that an acceptable ceasefire will be observed and both countries will be responsible for compliance with these direct negotiations. If the ceasefire is not observed, the US and their partners will impose additional sanctions. »

Details: Trump once again reminded that « thousands of young soldiers die weekly, and everyone has to want it to stop. »
He, as a president, remains supportive of peace between Russia and Ukraine with Europeans, and it will be a strong peace.
Direct language: « This ceasefire should eventually bring a peace agreement. All this can be done very quickly and I will be available at any moment if my services are needed. »
That preceded:
- Zelensky on May 8 spent a telephone conversation with Trump, they congratulated the Ratification of the Economic Partnership Agreement.
- Separately, Zelensky noted that Ukraine is ready for a 30-day ceasefire at least today.
