There the truck collided with a car driving on the left lane.

The 70-year-old driver of the car suffered serious injuries and succumbed to them at the scene of the accident. His passenger was slightly injured. The tractor driver remained intact, whose passenger was also slightly injured. Other people and vehicles were not involved in the accident.

The police said damage of around 100,000 euros on the vehicles and the guardrail. The A8 was blocked in both directions until the evening, and derivatives for traffic were set up. The police said: « The full lock must be maintained for several hours for the rescue of the vehicles. » According to the ADAC-Stäumelder and the Bavarian Ministry of Transport Bavaria, the Bavarian Ministry of Transport subsequently formed a traffic jam between the Grabenstätt and Traunstein/Siegsdorf-Ost junction, which in the meantime cost drivers around an hour or more.

The fire brigades Vogling, Teisendorf, Anger, Piding and Neukirchen were on site, as well as the Siegsdorf motorway master. The Traunstein traffic inspection took over the investigation into the cause of the accident and approach.
