Trial of Tetovo Modular Hospital continues
By reading the written evidence by the defense, today the repeated trial of the defendants Florin Besimi and Artan Etemi, and the PHI Clinical Hospital in Tetovo, as a legal entity, accused of the crime of « serious offenses against general security », in connection with the fire in Tetovo.
After the defense read the written evidence they submit, prosecutors were asked for the efficiency of the procedure, rather than calling for their witnesses and to be heard, to read the statements they made in the first trial.
After a half -hour break, in order to consult this proposal, the defense accepted this proposal. In the part of the proposed witnesses by the defense, the lawyer of the first defendant Florin Besimi proposed three witnesses who demanded that they be heard at the next hearing.
Although at the beginning of the trial, Judge Recep Musa warned attendees at the trial to behave decent and not to impede the trial, while the Tetovo Clinical Hospital lawyer read the list of people who received material assistance, a relative of a person killed in the fire. The lawyer described the reaction as a threat to him, but Judge Musa did not rate this outburst as such, after which the trial continued.
The next hearing is scheduled for April 22 at 9:30 am when the prosecution’s witnesses’ statements will be read and the three witnesses proposed by the defense will be heard.
