Trial initiated after shots against Elbit in Gothenburg
They were four people who shared the same corridor into an HVB home. Three slightly older guys and a 13-year-old, who were described by the staff as « a little boy » who « took no place ».
Everyone knew about what was going to happen on October 10 in Gothenburg. According to the investigation, a 15-year-old at home is considered to have been the one who recruited the 13-year-old for the job.
As the day Approached, the younger boy began to falter. He would deviate from home via another charter’s window but told him he did not dare.
The comrade then faced him with an anxious choice.
« I say: You get to choose to go out through my door and then you will have problems with the others. Or you go out the window and do what you should, as you have already said yes to, » the comrade said in interrogation.
The boy finally chose the window. According to testimony in the investigation, he knew no more about the assignment than he would shoot at a gate. In the chats that the police have taken part in, he wrote that he had to be back at the HVB home before the staff would discover that he was gone.
« Everyone except he knew he was going there, » said his comrade, who had helped him deviate, in interrogation.
The boy was picked up by a car with two strangers. There, according to his own statement, he must have received drugs on three occasions during the several -hour drive.
He had received strict orders not to talk about the « job » but under the influence of the drugs he began to « think loudly », as he himself expresses it in interrogation.
« How should I shoot at a facade? », He should have said, among other things. Then he got an ointment of threatening messages.
« Be in the car. Brother on God, I hear one thing you make chaos, I will open you, » the 15-year-old at the HVB home must have written after being informed of the boy’s behavior.
But there were Another client. An anonymous person with a foreign number who talked to the boy throughout the night.
The person gave instructions on what he would do when he was released in Gothenburg, coordinated pickup of the weapons and asked the boy to look at Youtube to learn how to shoot.
The tone was both hard and all encouraging.
« Please don’t hurt me, » the boy wrote at one time.
« The man why should I hurt you? Do your job. Do you do this? » the person asked.
« If you are with me, then yes, » the boy replied.
The person promised to Be with all the way, but on the phone. He also assured him that they would meet after work and that he would be driven home.
The boy was also given the council not to cover his face so as not to look suspicious and learned that he would receive SEK 100,000 when he was done.
« My beloved brother, good job. Proud of you. You have done very well so far, we have the last sprint left, then we celebrate, » the person wrote before the boy was driven to Elbit’s address.
A police car was parked outside the premises of the Israeli weapons company. The 13-year-old passed it twice before picking up the weapon and fired a shot at the company’s glass facade.
The police jumped out of the car and soon managed to arrest the boy. In the last, he was communicated with someone over the phone, according to the police’s testimony.
No person was injured in the shooting.
According to Prosecutor Åsa Nilsson, the boy has recognized the act during the investigation and cooperated with the police.
– Social authorities have control over him. My picture is that he has not wanted to do this, she says.
Why did he do it then, according to you?
– Initially, I think it was about thinking he would get money. Then my view is that he did not dare to pull out. I also argue that he is provided with drugs and gets down in the car on the way down for him to dare to do this, says Åsa Nilsson.
The boy’s 15-year-old comrade at the HVB home was charged with, among other things, the instigation of attempted murder, by grossly illegal threats and by serious weapons crime and involving a minor in crime.
He has denied crimes in the interrogations.
Two 19-year-olds, who are believed to have driven the 13-year-old to Gothenburg, were charged with assisting, who also refuses crime and believe they did not know what the boy would do.
Two more men were charged with handling weapons used during the crime.
The trial began on Friday and will continue next week. The prosecutor has also launched a preliminary investigation against a person in the staff at the HVB home who is suspected to have known the plans in advance.
The investigation has failed to identify the anonymous person who guided the boy during the night. The motive for the crime is also unclear, according to the prosecutor.
