Trendafilov: We will talk about the new government measures on May 2
We will talk about the new government measures on May 2, tomorrow we will demand an increase in our salaries so that we can afford such prices in supermarkets, said Slobodan Trendafilov, President of the Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia (CCM).
Trendafilov, answering journalist questions after a press conference for tomorrow’s protest, noted that freezing prices and margins gave only a half-result.
It turned out, estimates that traders are greedy and that on the back of workers they create huge capital.
-The union minimum basket showed that only 6.78 percent decreased prices to the 63 basic products we measure. It wasn’t even close to 10 or 10 percent as the cravings promised. Unfortunately, the government, as many times before, has been played by them. I hope it will not allow them to play for the third, fourth and fifth time. We will talk about the new government measures on May 2, tomorrow we will demand an increase in our salaries so that we can afford such prices in supermarkets. Traders have been shown to be greedy and that on the back of workers they create huge capital. I hope this will not be the case on May 2. If it is the case, we will take all the measures available to us and in the past prompted the Government to take measures that will last longer – Trendafilov said.
