Transition to a single school approaches finish / day
The next school year the transition to education in Latvian ends. This year only in grades 3, 6 and 9 could still be implemented in minority programs. The State Education Quality Service (IKVD) evaluated 72 educational institutions in the six months of the school year, including in Ludza County, and only three were found repeatedly deficiencies, but 14 schools came to the vision of the evaluators, as their 9th grade graduates continued their studies in vocational schools.
The situation improves
The IKVD evaluated educational institutions implementing minority programs in 15 municipalities: Augsdaugava, Jelgava, Kraslava, Ludza, Kekava, Ogre, Rezekne, Ropazi, Valmiera County, as well as nationals: Daugavpils, Jurmala, Liepaja, Liepaja, Rezekne, Rezekne, Riga and Ventspils. 88% of schools received a rating « well » and « very good », suggesting that overall the transition to the Single School is optimal and that the situation is improving year after year.
