« Sing my song » returned to television with a 12th season in 2025. At “Sing my song”, the participating musicians interpret each other their songs and give them a new musical direction. This creates new interpretations that show the original in a different style and the artistic versatility of the prominent participants.
Johannes Oerding has been moderating the show since 2021 after he was there as a participant in 2019. The new season again brings together artists from various genres who exchange their songs and give an insight into the stories of their music. The popular music show « Sing my song » runs in 2025 with new episodes and many well -known artists. The first episode of season 12 can be seen in spring 2025. Process and concept of « Sing my song »
The concept of « Sing my song » remains just as unchanged in season 12 as the TV broadcast. Singers from different musical genres compete against each other in so -called exchange concerts. In each episode, the focus is on an artist whose songs are reinterpreted by the other participants in different ways. The artist himself presents a new song in each episode. At the end of each episode, the “song of the evening” is chosen.
The show is based on the Dutch program « Best Zangers », which has been successfully running on the screens since 2009 and has also found a large audience in Germany.
