Train full of derailed gasoline

Alert! According to CFR, the train belongs to the private freight operator GFR, had 35 wagons, charged with fuel (gasoline) and was traveling on the distance of Ploieşti East – Işalniţa.

The ISU crews, the representatives of AGIFER and those of SRCF Craiova, as well as the intervention teams moved.

« Because one of the derailed wagons in the composition of the freight train presents content leaks, the ISU does not allow the intervention of the railway personnel to raise it, the arrival of the machine (belonging to the economic operator) of transfer, in order to empty the contents of the wagon, » CFR said.

In order to maintain the continuity of the railway transport of passengers, SRCF Craiova will provide for the trains that transit the area, transborting by car on the distance of Caracal – Roşiori Nord.

« We specify that the railway staff of SRCF Craiova will provide technical support to the private commodity operator in the process of restoring the locomotive and derailed wagons. The railway accident will be investigated by an AGIFER commission, which will determine the causes of the derailment, » the company said.
