Tragedy on Wawer. The former president of the Warsaw Sports Club was killed.
This Holy Saturday has become a nightmare for two families. On April 19, 36-year-old Tomasz K got on his racer and in the afternoon rushed through the streets of Marysina Wawerskiego (a housing estate in the Wawer district in the capital’s district). A moment later (near the cemetery) he left with impetus in 68-year-old Zbigniew K. and his wife Barbara. Mr. Zbyszek died on the spot, and his wife was taken to hospital with his leg injury. The driver of the motorcycle drove several times, then fell limp on the road and did not give a sign of life. He was resuscitated at the scene for over an hour. It is true that he managed to restore life functions, but died in the hospital a moment after surgery. He had extensive head and spine injuries. He was hospitalized, where he died.
At first, the police said that the marriage could cross the street in an unauthorized place. « Fakt » reached Mrs. Barbara, who survived this terrible accident. She told us her version. Her words are chilling her veins.

On Holy Saturday, Mrs. Barbara and her husband Zbigniew visited the graves of their loved ones. – We went to Wólka morning at my parents’ grave. Then we went to church with Święconka, we were at the adoration of the cross, and then drove to the cemetery to Mother Zbysia. We took order, lit candles and returned home. We walked in hand happy to the car. We were glad that we have already dealt with everything – as the saying goes – in God’s. Our car stood on the left near the forest. To reach him, we had to go a large piece. We left the cemetery and headed towards him – says Barbara.
According to the interlocutor of « Fakt », when she and her husband reached the edge behind which the street began, both seniors checked whether the road was empty. I leaned out and my husband wanted to take a step forward. Then I shouted to him: « Zbysia, no, because he goes like crazy! » Then I only saw the lights of this motorcycle and lost consciousness. It was literally seconds. This speed was really high, since I did not finish talking and lost consciousness. It wasn’t 50 kilometers per hour – adds a desperate woman.
She saw her husband in a pool of blood
After regaining consciousness, Barbara did not know what was going on. – When I woke up I was like in lethargy. I raised my head and saw that the body was lying in the street. At first I thought it was this motorcyclist. And that was my husband … I couldn’t get up, but somehow I succeeded and I got to him. He lay in a pool of blood and did not give a sign of life. The view was terrible, simply indescribable. I will remember this spilling blood for the rest of my life. She spilled over the road in front of my eyes – reports our interlocutor.
For Mrs. Barbara, these Christmas will always be associated with the loss of a loved one. – I will tell you honestly that Easter will always be painful and terrible for me. I am a believer and that is only that he keeps me alive. Faith gives me internal peace. Because yes, I would probably not cope … I have beloved sons, daughter -in -law who really take care of me. I lost my beloved husband with whom I was happy. We have experienced many beautiful years together. He was a man who had passions, he was caring and caring – he recalls Mrs. Barbara with tears.
He was the president of the Sports Club and an avid athlete
From an early age, Mr. Zbigniew played football in junior teams at the KS Drukarz Warszawa club. He also appeared in the team of Kadra Rembertów, but it was in this first team that he was a coach, and then he was the vice president and president. In time, he also infected his sons’ football passion. When they reached the appropriate age, he took them to trainings.
He considered his greatest professional success that his players won the Polish Junior Championships U17. This title KS Drukarz Warszawa won in 2001. At that time, Zbigniew assisted the coach of the team Henry Ochmański.
Some time ago, Mr. Zbigniew retired. However, he did not give up sport. He planned to run his own sports club on the plot. Unfortunately, the tragic accident thwarted his plans.
