Tragedy in the Tatra Mountains and Little Fatra. Five lives took the mountains
One of the Polish tourists fell from the lamb of the peak – it is 2230 m of rock, which does not forgive mistakes. Rescuers arrived, but it was too late to help. The body was found in a hard -to -reach area. The man died on the spot.
He missed at Gerlach. They looked for him for three days
The other Pole was lost earlier. For three days, Slovak rescuers searched the Gerlach massif. On Sunday they ended the action, found the body. It lay under the so -called Tartar attempt, one of the roads leading to the highest peak of the Tatra Mountains. For rescuers it was a blow, though not the first of that day.

Three more people were killed that day. Everything indicates that the causes were health – each of the victims had a sudden cardiac arrest. The drama took place in the Western Tatras (Rohackian ponds), in the Furkotna Valley in the High Tatras and in Little Fatra, near Wielki Krywan.
Rescuers tried to resuscitate tourists, but to no avail. Rescue helicopters and interior ministry machines took part in the actions.
Slovak Mountain Emergency Service did not beat around the bush. In the announcement from Monday, the words were: it was an extremely tragic Sunday. Five people, five dramas, five mourning families …
