Trade Unions: The Minister of Economics slows down the conclusion of collective agreements
Trade Unions accuse the Minister of Economics and Industry Erkka Keldo (Reform Party) of delaying with the conclusion of collective agreements and belittling the role of social partners. According to Keldo, there are worldview disagreements, but reproaches for insufficient involvement are incomprehensible to him, writes Err.
Trade unions are unhappy that the government, according to their assessment, began to belittle the role of social partners. For example, the trade union of employees of state institutions and local self -government (Rotal) and the Union of Trade Unions of Estonia Energy (EEAüL) indicated that their proposals for a draft amendment of the Law on the Labor Agreement are ignored, and the head of government no longer considers it necessary to hold regular meetings between the government, employers and trade unions, referring to the fact that there are enough ministerial levels for such meetings.
In addition, according to Rotal Chairman, Calle Liyvamyagi, Minister of Economics and Industry Erkka Keldo began to slow down the conclusion of collective agreements.
“Three times the minister stated that under his rule in the public sector, and, as I understand it, in state companies, collective agreements will not be concluded,” Liyvamyagi said.
