Total tax debts in Latvia increased to 845.47 million euros / day at the beginning of May

In addition, the debt to the state basic budget on May 1, 2025 was EUR 349.61 million, which is 1.2% more than a month in advance, with debt to municipal budgets of EUR 298.941 million, which is also 0.4% less than a month in advance, but social security contributions were 196.918 million.

The current debts for which the default interest was calculated were 61.9% of the total debt or € 523,674 million on May 1 this year.

Similarly, the SRS data shows that on May 1 this year, debts of EUR 1.405 million were recognized as unexpected this year – these debts were formed for liquidated companies until the liquidation procedure is completed.

In the beginning of May this year, according to the regulations on recoverable regulations, EUR 522.27 million was recognized, including EUR 230.118 million, but EUR 292.152 million. Of the debt, recognized as realistic, for EUR 292,089 million in debtors do not have the money and property to drive, while the time of recovery has been debt of 62,200 euros.

The repayment period extensions were allocated on May 1 this year for debt of a total of EUR 117.613 million, which is 21.9% more than at the beginning of the year.

In turn, the amount of suspended debts for which the calculation of default money was terminated was EUR 204,182 million in early May, which was the amount of insolvent -recognized companies.

On January 1, 2025 in Latvia the total tax debts were EUR 844,276 million.
