Toskovski: Manager of Prison Skopje and other employees experienced the institution as a private tourist service company
Two people who held official office in Prison Prison Skopje were detained in today's police action because they are suspected of illegally allowing convicts to leave the institution with police escort to certain locations where they remained 8 to 10 hours, after which they also returned to the prison.
The two men were brought before a pre -trial judges, and according to Toskovski, he is in the hands of the prosecution and the court. The Ministry of Interior, the Minister emphasized, collected the evidence, carried out the searches, carried out the persons and deprived of their liberty. The rest of the criminal proceedings is in the hands of the court and the prosecution.
-The Ministry of Acting on the order of the competent court carried out two searches of two locations in the homes of persons who are officials in the Skopje Prison on suspicion of committing more crimes, they and several other persons returned to this prison. The prison manager and others experienced the institution as a sole proprietor or a private legal entity leaving with tourist services because they illegally allowed persons convicted, for whom there is a high security risk, to use privileges that do not follow by law – Minister Toskovski said in an interview only.
Simply put, he added, eight to ten hours contrary to the law with prison police carried out certain locations, in their homes or other locations where they enjoyed privileges.
-They were guarded by prison police officers who were paid by the citizens. They used this deprivation of the law and the implementation and storage of the prison police for private needs according to documentation, and what these needs would be further established. It was not for health services, nor to be available to law enforcement agencies, but for other private needs that do not have a legal basis in Macedonian legislation – said Toskovski.
These, he added, are privileges that certain people were allowed to use, and the motives are believed to be lucrative, but that, according to the minister, will be further determined. He added that the investigation covers about ten people.
