Interior Ministers Pance Toskovski and Ivica Dacic today signed an agreement between the governments of Macedonia and Serbia to establish joint controls at the Tabanovce – Presevo International Road Traffic Border Crossing Border Crossing System, which should enable the implementation of a real « one stop » system, and more than the two -way trafficking.

-To my great pleasure we have signed the agreement on the basis of which our two countries will have joint control of the Tabanovce-Presevo border crossing point, which will provide faster transfer and flow, both to goods and services and people at our border. Implementation of the system expect to double the transfer of people, and after signing and ratifying the contract we will be able to start the test phase in terms of a technical solution and we hope that before the start of the summer season we will be able to officially put into operation and accelerate the flow of people.

According to the Ministry of Interior, Toskovski stressed that excellent cooperation with Serbian police continues to fight all types of crime and during this summer season will continue the project for exchange of Serbian police officers in Ohrid and Macedonian police officers to be held in Serbia.

Interior Minister Ivica Dacic emphasized that the purpose of this agreement is an opportunity to help citizens more easily cross the border crossings and thereby facilitate the flow of people and material goods.

-Today we have signed an agreement between the two governments to establish joint controls for international road traffic Preshevo-Tabanovce where we establish a new process of work aimed at simplifying the complete procedure of border checks, so that the host country’s police officers will be authorized by the country’s entrance control. This is how we establish the One Stop system with one place of control – said Minister Dacic.
