Top Channel reacts after the incident occurred during Big Brother Albania live broadcast

During this evening’s live broadcast in the Big Brother Albania format, an unacceptable act occurred, where one of the eliminated competitors physically attacked another participant at home. The move was broadcast in real time and followed by a general national public.

Top Channel firmly condemns any form of violence and reiterates its commitment to the highest standards of professional ethics, public responsibility and secure communication. Big Brother Albania is a fun format that promotes game, spontaneity and emotion – but never violence. This incident is in complete contradiction with the spirit of the program and the basic principles on which our television platform operates.

The production has not had any information, signal or indication that could lead to predicting such behavior. The event happened unexpectedly, with no provocation related to the format, and is deeply punishable. Although reality type television formats may contain unexpected and tension, the boundaries are clear and non -negotiable – and violence is not tolerated under any circumstances.

« A violent, unacceptable and deeply disturbing act occurred at a moment that should have been the end of an experience, not the beginning of such a reaction. This behavior does not represent Top Channel’s values ​​nor those of Big Brother Albania. »

« This incident was not organized, promoted or predictable by production. The reality of a live format carries unexpected, but that never justifies violence. »

Immediately after the incident, the responsible person was finally excluded from any further involvement in the program and accompanied by the relevant authorities in the police station, where legal procedures are being followed in accordance with the legislation in force. Security and transmission protocols are in the process of full review, and any necessary measures will be taken to ensure that such situations will not be repeated in the future.
