Tons of illegally harvested truffles
The Environmental Guard applied fines of 160,000 lei to a company that operates in the field of harvesting/acquisition and marketing of edible fungi – truffles and has filed a criminal referral against it for false in documents under private signature.
‘Starting from a suspicion that appeared on a previous control carried out at a company that operates in the field of harvesting/acquisition and marketing of edible fungi – truffles, a team of commissioners within the Control Directorate of the Biodiversity of the General Commissioner requested the support of ANAF and the IGPR for the IGPR. On this occasion, it was found that, at the control carried out in September 2024, the economic operator made available to the control team supporting documents by which he would not exceed the quantity of 1,500 kg truffles that he had the right to harvest, purchase or market. In fact, from the analysis presented by ANAF-DGAF Bucharest, it turned out that, during 2024, the respective company collected/purchased the quantity of 19.197.20 kg truffles, the difference of 17,697.2 kg edible mushrooms-truffles being collected/acquired illegally ‘, it is stated in a statement of the Facebook page.
Thus, for the false in documents under private signature, in order to induce a false justification regarding the quantities harvested/purchased (a fact committed during the previous control of September) a criminal referral was formulated against the commercial company, the source said.
At the same time, for the lack of harvesting authorization and for non -realization of the measures imposed the occasion of the previous control, the economic operator was sanctioned with two fines in a total value of 160,000 lei.
