Tomovski: About 21 million denars have been spent so far on the victims in Kocani, assistance will continue
The government allocated the starting 30 million denars from the state budget reserves, as initial assistance and support for the injured in the fire in Kocani, intended for transporting 201 patients to hospitals abroad and returning to the country, as well as for the stay of their loved ones who were accompanied by our Director of the Service and General.
-For the seven patients who are still undergoing treatment abroad, the costs of accommodation are covered and we hope they will return soon. So far around 21 million denars have been spent, but that does not mean that we are finishing here. The state is available until we get a clear picture, return patients to Macedonia and heal them to the end – said Tomovski.
He also referred to cooperation with the Red Cross, and noted that the government had joined the donor account of the Red Cross.
-We have joined the donor account of the Red Cross and provided assistance to patients who were treated both abroad and domestic hospitals, said the director of the SAO -Tomovski.
He expressed gratitude to the foreign and defense ministries who were logistical support for the transport and accommodation of the injured in hospitals abroad during the tragedy in Kocani.
