This is the question of Shell Faaborg, who subsequently sheds light on the 1,000-krone banknote as well as older banknote series will be invalid soon:

« After May 31, 2025, all banknotes from older banknotes will be invalid and together the current 1000-krone note will be. »

Of course, it is not only at the Shell stations that you can no longer pay with the above-mentioned banknotes when the calendar says June 1st.

Therefore, you are also wise to get rid of them somehow very soon – unless you believe that one day they will be worth a lot of money of course.
