Tomasevic Little Little, Selak Raspudic will need a real miracle
Tears of joy, Scream of delight, hugs, cheerful music. This is how the atmosphere in the headquarters looked like the SDP at the factory after the first exit surveys were published. And then such a good atmosphere continued. Prior to the election, when they concluded the coalition with the SDP, Zagreb Mayor Tomislav Tomasevic said he would break the elections. In the meantime, the affair came to Hipodrom, but also the arrest of Mile Kekin, but still managed to « break » in the elections. Tomasevic won 47.4 percent of the vote in the first round, which is even a slightly better result than four years ago. But still failed to win the first round, but will have to confirm it in two weeks against the Independent Marija Selak Raspudic, who won 15.7 percent of the vote.

Although Selak Raspudic entered the election race just before the election, she achieved a better result in the first round than Miroslav Skoro four years ago, who won just over 12 percent of the vote. All other candidates remained quite below. At one point, it seemed that HDZ’s Mislav Herman could reach the second round, but he ended the third with 13 percent of the vote. Davor Bernardic ended up under eight percent of the vote, Tomislav Jonjic at 6.5 percent, and Bandic’s former associates experienced Fiasco. Ivica Lovric received about five percent of the vote, and Pavle Kalinic not even four percent.
Selak Raspudic herself is aware that she should be a miracle to win the second round. If that miracle, after all, had happened because of something, the citizens of Zagreb could go to the polls again next year. The coalition can also be able to win the majority and in the City Assembly, so Selak Raspudic and unite all other MPs would not have enough to make important decisions. But Selak Raspudic, who first profiled herself in the presidential election, is likely to use this for his political profile.

Tomasevic was also in his winning speech, saying that he had been dealing with Zagreb for years, and did not start learning about communal problems a few months ago.

This past term was the recovery of the city on the verge of bankruptcy, and the next four years will be for the city of development. Each of your voice is important to us that we can fight for the City of Zagreb as stronger as possible and more. I’ve been struggling for decades and haven’t discovered municipal topics just yesterday. No threats will be able to stop us – Tomasevic said in a winning speech.

Tomasevic’s father is otherwise right, and Tomasevic said they have not been talking about politics for eight years.

My personal opinion is that Selak Raspudic is smart and good as a candidate for the president of the state, but as a mayor, when you are dealing with various people, I do not think it is for her or that he will manage – said his father Smiljan for 24 hours.
Marija Selak Raspudic says he does not give up the fight in the second round and that it is a brand new political battle. She is proud of the people who entered her into the City Assembly.
– I am extremely proud of this team II for people who become MPs for the first time. We are extremely pleased with the results. Tomasevic said he would not be able to stop them now because they have a majority. He promised the development, the fight against lobbies and the continuation of capital projects in the metropolis.
A real struggle is just beginning
Selak Raspudic said that now the real struggle with Tomasevic is just beginning and that he will not be able to draw that his opponents are from Milan Bandic’s structures.
