Tom Cruise entered the Guinness Record Book

American actor Tom Cruise was included in the Book of Guinness Records after executing the largest number of jumps with a parachute – 16 such jumps – during filming from the feature film ‘Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning’, informs Variety magazine.

The American star jumped empty from a plane, risking losing his life, while his parachute caught fire 16 times during this film within the franchise ‘Mission: impossible’. The Paramount studio has marked the new Guinness record through a video from the backstage, which presents that spectacular stunt.

‘If this parachute is twisted while burning, I will be twisted and burned. I have to get out of the twist sequence and then light it in 10 seconds’, Tom Cruise can be heard before performing one of the jumps. ‘We will be very intelligent. I’m not saying to be risky. We take no risks, obviously, ‘he added.

‘Mission: Impossible-The Final Reckoning’ was announced as the film that marks the last appearance of actor Tom Cruise in the role of the character Ethan Hunt, which would make this leap in the flames be the last stunt he executed in the cinematic franchise launched 29 years ago. When asked at the Cannes festival about his future in the franchise, Tom Cruise remained evasive about leaving the cinematic series ‘Mission: Impossible’.

« I would prefer people to see the movie and enjoy it, because we spent an amazing time while we were making it and it was a lot of fun, and I just want to enjoy it, » said the American actor. « Enjoy this and know that everything that leads to the highlight has reached this moment right now, » he added.

‘Mission: Impossible-The Final Reckoning’ has been launched on the extended weekend occasioned by the US Memorial holiday and has since obtained $ 360 million in the world box office. In his first weekend of projections, he has won $ 200 million, becoming the movie with the best debut in the history of the franchise ‘Mission: Impossible’.

The feature film ‘Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning’, distributed by Paramount, is broadcast during this period in cinemas worldwide.
