THE Toldi girls Animation documentary presents the life of a sack village of Told, a sack village in East Hungary. The Pearl and the Northern Its joint project can be interpreted not only as a film but also as a social mission.

The film shows hopelessness, hope, their dreams from the perspective of women, mothers, grandmothers and children living there, and all that segregation and extreme poverty are everyday. The animated elements are drawn by local children based on their own experiences and vision, so the film is not only about them, but also with them.

The project serves a dual purpose: it gives women self -confidence, confirming that their stories are important and valuable and, on the other hand, reinforces the empathy and social sensitivity of viewers. The work has already won several awards, including the main prize of the Cinemira Pitch Forum Anna Richter Award Audience Award, which allows you to start the first phase of production. However, further support and cooperation are needed to make a full film – and the goal is no less than a change in a forgotten world.
