« Today, we are not asked to die, but to show that we are alive »: Speech by the ruling coalition in the Assembly who stirred spirits – Personal views

I worked for twelve years in Mathematical Gymnasium in Belgrade. During that period, the Mathematical Gymnasium celebrated 50 years, and at my initiative the President of the Honorary Committee of the celebration was Aleksandar Vučić, then the Prime Minister. Then he started pretending to be an advocate of the European idea, and I believed him and I was supporting him for the President of Serbia. I made this introduction to tell you that I don’t owe Aleksandar Vučić, nor Milan Stamatovic, nor anyone. I went into politics much earlier as a professional and family realized man. I always had and I will have my family and honor and reputation of my profession.

I’ll give you one little introduction. When forming the previous government, healthy Serbia was promised one ministry and the possibility of forming an independent parliamentary club. That agreement was achieved by Milan Stamatović and Darko Glišić. It has never occurred until its complete realization, because we formed a parliamentary club, but we did not take responsibility to run one ministry. The reasons for the disbursement in the government have never been explained. Milan and Arsen came explanation: « They did not call us. » But this fact did not affect my discussion today.

Now you are the mandateur. On these negotiations, Milan Stamatović, President Vučić, did not call, but you did not feel the need to call either the President of the Parliamentary group either as the President of the Parliament. I want to believe that this composition of the government is not dictated and that you could propose at least one minister. How do you think we support you if you did not establish a dialogue with the ruling majority, and we expect to take the dialogue in the country to exit the deep crisis in which we are? Or, maybe, isn’t the intention of running so much needed? And maybe you consider us irrelevant, which should not be a professor of the University? Appreciating your academic title, I expect you to answer these arguments in these arguments, « Albijanic, vote according to conscience, based on programs (exposition) and government composition I made. »

I am as a man dedicated to the dialog ready and that. Is there a better place to face arguments from parliament? There are three branches of government: legislative, executive and judicial authority. But do we have such division of power in Serbia today?

The government, according to Article 123, determines and maintains the policy, executes laws, issues regulations, proposes to the National Assembly of the Law, directs and harmonizes the work of the state administration bodies and supervise their work. President, under Article 111 of the Constitution, expresses state unity of the Republic of Serbia, ie. The president of all citizens, and according to Article 112, represents the Republic of Serbia in the country and abroad. This clearly see that the president, in terms of the constitution, can only represent the state of Serbia and that the powers are predominantly ceremonial and protocol. You are, therefore, in the state of Serbia, you determine and run policy – which means you will have to discipline President Vučić to respect the Constitution and not to be interrogated to you, which will not be an easy task.

The essence of civilized rule is reliance on the agreement, which rests on justice, not on force, which mainly rests on injustice. The true majority is not simply counting votes, it is a search for compromise and balance between different participants in our social and political life. In the Law, the requirements and the rights and rights of minority should be reconciled. From the position of power, it is sometimes difficult to notice that your policy has remained without most and significant support. It can easily happen to not notice that one new majority is formed. This further leads to a defeat fact that one policy does not realizing that she lost most, it starts those who perceive that policy as their enemies. If this policy also puts the sign of equality between its authorities and the state, then easily goes to even greater and devastating the mistake. Those people who criticize and indicate errors starts to declare the enemies of the state. History teaches us to produce catastrophic consequences in Serbia. She power that means science, education, culture, art, especially students and high school students, as holders of future progress, such authorities all speaks and other critics are neither needed. And when he answers repression in the words of criticism, it conceals his own fear of loss of government.

Bad power and bad management hit the freedom and courageous individuals who do not hesitate to say what in the state is wrong. Any responsible authority nourishes and encourages critical thinking, knowing that every government is terms and removable, and that it is constructive criticism for any power.

As I said, I was a professor, generations and generations to cultivate critical thinking, that the power of authorities must oppose the power of arguments and that freedom was personal, or our Serbia’s freedom of ours. The birth of birth does not mean that we will enjoy this thinner for the rest of your life. We need to keep freedom, nurture and strengthen. The sacred task of each generation is to do everything to the wings of the freedom of our descendants strengthen, fluffy and more powerful than the wings of freedom of their ancestors.

Professors and educators are among the most faithful guardians of freedom. If any educator, a professor, parent, scientist, who now sees the seed of a new life, has a dilemma of which and what should be supported by this moment in Serbia. I have no choice than following the words of Zivojin muscle, which Professor Macut I advise you, « I picked out of the people, he made me so what I am, I must obey his will and serve him until the last breath.

History will remember me in how much I was faithful to Mother and his profession.  » My professional, my civic, my human duty obliges me to support my students, at this time, I support my students, and his colleagues professor. To follow what Djura Jaksic wrote down.

Remember the professor of Kragujevac Gymnasium Milivoj Pavlović, which is 41. in foresters embraced their students and enrolled in immortality. We are not asked to die today, because due to silence, many professions died, we are asked to show that we are alive, to speak, and to tell that great truth.

And the truth is:

Our students, our children are right, and to us, their professors are a place with them.

I invite every professor in the hall, every professor who overlooks this transfer to remain faithful to his profession and fit with his students and his pupils. I also have one request for everyone in Serbia:

Don’t please share our children, on students and these call them. They are not to blame what they are here, we are guilty, their professors that we didn’t teach them right. But those who started selling diplomas, thinking that they are buying and knowledge. We will bring freedom and Ćaks, so that they become students.

Today, students on the streets of Serbia and roads of Europe, after which they cruise bicycles, do not fight for any power, they are fighting for the reset of the system that has mistakenly. They fight for the future in which the only measure for progress will be what and how much someone knows, not who knows and knows and whose party booklet has.

The government in Serbia has become opium in Serbia, they are dependent on the authorities and cannot without it, and all that causes dependence, and itself, it is dangerous, because then it is easy to overdose. When a man overdoses his strength loses a sense of reality, crashes the constitutional and moral framework of what is allowed and not, it is easily subject to the rehearsals of the government, not as a set of privileges, not responsibility. I am in politics because I am a responsible man. I’m a parent, I’m a spouse, I’m a professor and that’s what my family, my family, my profession and my fatherland.

Being free doesn’t mean you are given to do everything that is at will. The freedom of every man is limited by the freedom of another man, and the law and constitution are there to limit the power of each individual. When laws are weak, and the institutions of fragile, power in the hands of those who possess easily become unlimited and uncontrolled. Any institution competent or unallowable must know that the power of temporary character is as large as it is. If it is abused, in order to keep repression at all costs, in Serbia, always arouse an adequate response. I’m not psychic, but I know the history of our people well.

Abuse of power and power begins at the moment when the funds are not selected. When one authority, the largest set in the history of Serbia, to whom I personally attended 15. Marta, declared a gathering of negative energy, who came to crash the state, although he knows that they came to crush injustice. And in person, I didn’t meet that day I didn’t even meet a man with negative energy, on the contrary, everyone was positive. When the government tries to break such a set using a sound cannon, it should not be surprised that such a shot in his own people return as a boomerang. If the tabloid artillery also joins the sound cannon, and all of these students answer nonviolence and teaching a peaceful protest, it is clear that the huge majority in this country does not want conflicts in this country.

When students in this fight from Belgrade, Subotica, Nis and Novi Pazar, unencumbered differences between themselves, they demonstrate the new force of Serbia, which will allow every citizen to Serbia as their state. Their bravely heart is stronger than baseball, sticks and bloody hoods, whom someone was attacked by Serbia. The root of freedom is in the courage of these young people. Don’t threaten them! Fear cannot be rule in Serbia.

Police and prosecutor’s offices in Serbia should not be afraid of students and professors, but a debauched crime. I hear some unreasonable voices telling us that Serbia needs a solid. Serbia needs a pure hand, not a solid hand. Students are this pure hand. As a professor, I can’t understand why Serbian students are news in all world media, but not at RTS we all funded.

I don’t know why some individuals are accused of hatred. Maybe because the world commented on themselves, not around them and tell us what they see in their heart, not what they see in the hearts of rebel youth. I as a professor know how beautiful it is and how strong youth is. And that’s why:

« We know the fate and everything that awaits us,
But we won’t frozen our chests!
The yoke oxen suffers rather than humans, –
God gave freedom for man.
The power is our mountain river,
Nobody will be constituted anywhere! « 

The flow of the Youth of Serbia and give us the river of the new life. Everything is clear to me, and I hope I explained to you too! Long live our students! Long live free Serbia!
