To watch stars, spend the money saved – everyone wants to travel in 2025

Even before all the restrictions associated with the pandemic were completely eliminated, with the naked eye it seemed, it was massively going to travel. This happened even in the face of a high price increase in practice after inflation replaced the pandemic from the number one problem for people.

The pandemic also set another trend – most people prefer to stay in private homes, not so much in large hotels, as well as that they are increasingly looking for unexplored and not so overwhelmed destinations. And also that baby boom people tend to travel and spend, not so much to keep their savings for the benefit of the children who will one day inherit them.

This data also confirms a survey organized by the short -term hiring platform (booking), among 27,000 of its users from 33 countries. The results of it were presented in Sofia by the Regional Manager for Bulgaria and Turkey Birjan Kaan. He participated in the first edition of the short -term rental conference in Eastern Europe, hosted by the Bulgarian Association for Tourist Property and Innovation (ATIs) in partnership with the global Scale platform.

The most grow private homes for accommodation

It cites data from the Tourism and Travel Council, according to which in 2034 tourism worldwide will reach a turnover of 3 trillion. euro as a significant share in it as a percentage of GDP will be formed by small and medium -sized enterprises, namely the individual property owners who give them for short -term rent. And the platform reports a greater increase in hiring such places than the hotels offered through it. « I think this trend will be maintained because this business has advantages. It is more flexible, more adaptive, has close contact with the customer and creates a unique customer experience, » Kaan commented. According to the platform, owners of 95% of the individual homes for temporary accommodation in the country work with « Buking ».

According to the Ministry of Tourism, of 9 million accommodations registered in Bulgaria, according to data from 2024, 1 million are found in private homes.

Age does not interfere with us

According to the Platform Survey, the countries to which the greatest interest in traveling this year is Brazil, Japan, China, France, Italy, Chile, Norway, Spain and Russia are the countries.

The data also shows that the generation of baby boom- born in the 1960s and 1960s are ready to spend the money that their children would otherwise be inherited for traveling. Most also indicate that their choice is to go somewhere with their grandchildren. The respondents of this generation indicate that they do not accept the age as a limiting factor and are looking for more adventures around the world. Almost a quarter of Hiah – 23%, are even ready to try extreme sports, and 15% are ready to tour the world.

What is there to be done in the evening and at night

Among the respondents stands out a group that is interested in adventures around the world in the dark part of the day. And this is not about going to establishments, but about engaging in stars – this is indicated by 59% of the respondents. These activities are called nocturism. Increasingly, they are visiting museums in the evening, as long as the museums themselves have similar initiatives. In recent years, this has been distributed in Turkey, Kaan said, as the opportunity to go to them after work. In addition, when museums are open late at night, small businesses emerge.

Of coolness and in peace

These attitudes are in response not only to employment during the day, but also for the hotter weather. This also explains the search for travel to cooler destinations.

In addition, more people are looking for unexplored and less visited places, in particular and those that are far from light pollution. This also gives an incentive to night visits to the mountains so that the sky can be observed without the lights of the city. In recent years, there have been trekking companies in Bulgaria that organize a night climbing of peaks, including in one period the night visits to Cherni Vrah have come up with.

The desire to visit the tourism places to visit tourism specialists are defined as a passport for immortality – 60% of those involved in the study are looking for this. This includes any activities that are relevant to a healthy lifestyle – travel travel, consumed healthy foods, purifies the body, use therapies that restore the body and are thought to prolong life.

Luggage

However, remote places where there is no connection with the world and cannot be published on Instagram, however, are definitely not desired by the Z generation, the study shows. It is emphatically interested in more services offered at airports, including the opportunity to sleep for several hours.

This plus the previous generation – that of the millennials, is also excited about the opportunity to go travel without packing any luggage. They just rely on buying everything they need on the spot by embarking on a bargain and profitable deals in the second -hand goods market. In addition to not carrying luggage from their homeland with this approach, they believe that they support local communities.

Only in a male company

An interesting trend that will be strengthened by Kaan is traveling only to a men's company. More than 50% of the respondents point to such desire and intention. They have different motives to choose trips without their partners. Among them, they list – to find new friends, just not to be together for a while, to load, and more.

This trend is more pronounced in men and the younger ones.
