The Foreign Authority has strangely justified the ban on residence for the German climate activist from the last generation. How should the state deal with civil disobedience? And like a moderating journalist with such a difficult discussion?
That was not pleasant: in the previous autumn I moderated a panel discussion, to which Anja Windl was also invited. The climate activist did not want to discuss. Instead of answering questions, she shouted her urgent appeals to defend an impending apocalypse in a dramatic staccato. I did not succeed in integrating them into the conversation of the others, but also tried too little, surprised by the situation. Before the end, the 28-year-old stormed off the stage with tears in the eyes. Later I was comforted: at other events with representatives of the last generation, it was the same, behind it there is a script. However, it was not pleasant. But activism, or even civil disobedience, is not pleasant, it should never be. And no emotionally well -tempered exchange of ideas would have given the audience so much to think, so strongly memorized.
