To save the girl, a healthy bone marrow transplant is required. Parents and brother as donors, unfortunately, are not suitable. However, the preparation of the donor for the bone marrow fence and the delivery of the transplant to the clinic are expensive – the Kireevs have no money.

When mom or dad buy something tasty, she first asks: « Will we buy a brother too? »

“Anya is very kind and loves to stand for the truth,” says Mom Ekaterina. “If he sees that someone is doing wrong, he will definitely make a remark, even a person older by age.” Not out of harmfulness, but for conscience, from the principle: you need to do the right thing.

Anya is a girl with an inner rod. So her mother characterizes. And also a creative child – she herself chose to study in the violin class and strictly goes to music school three times a week, enjoying even from solfeggio.

Learning to play the violin is not easy, especially if you play with your right hand, although you write the prescriptions in the first grade with your left. But Anya persistent and patient.

Every six months, Anya and her mother go to St. Petersburg for an examination, which lasts two to three weeks. Anya already knows: first the train, then injections, tests and research, and then – an Hermitage or summer garden, Neva, Fontanka, Moika, stone horses and various lions, straight streets and ancient houses.

The hospital is not always interesting or pleasant – sometimes you need to endure pain. In Saransk, once a month, the girl donates blood in the clinic and has long been entering the procedural herself. “I am an adult, I understand that this is important,” Anya says to her mother.

The girl knows why she is freed from physical education, although she really wants to run along with classmates. He knows that even a small injury can lead to severe bleeding. And the whole lesson sits patiently on the bench.

“The level of platelets in Ani is now critically low and steadily decreasing, but the body apparently manages to adapt, so the daughter gives the impression of an active child,” says Ekaterina. “However, it cannot continue for a long time. Any infection is dangerous. After a cold, platelets decrease even more.

Anya knows: in winter you have to be careful. A cold – risk. « Put on the hat! » – Mom reminds. « Certainly! » – answers Anya.

But once Catherine takes her daughter from school and sees: Anya runs out in a flock of friends without a hat, although the street is frosty. “Anya! You understand – you can’t without a hat! ” The girl stops bewilderedly: « I forgot … »

Even all a knowledgeable and patient person can forget to put on a hat. Let him say about himself: « I am an adult! » “But Anya is only a seven -year -old girl who also looks younger than her years.”

Anya does not understand to the end, which means the words “platelets”, “myelodesplastic syndrome”, “transplantation”. But she knows that you can’t fall, you need to take care of the cold and wash your hands before meals. You need to be patient and do the right thing.

And if she hurts, she will stubbornly say: « I am already an adult. »
