It makes it possible to join for people who would otherwise have difficulty participating in the race – either for financial, social or other reasons.

This is how Esbjerg Municipality writes in one press release.

For Royal Run in Ribe, social tickets have gone to six different institutions, associations and organizations: Ørnevænget Ribe, Sunflower Carriers, Education Esbjerg, Movin, South Star and Ribelund.

Therefore, a total of 100 lucky recipients of a free ticket – from children and young people who live in a day care center, people with an invisible disability or developmental disabilities and to students and young people seeking community through movement – are now looking forward to joining and being active with others at the Royal Run in Ribe on June 9, 2025.

Makes a huge difference

Ribelund has received 20 tickets, and here the joy is great about being able to give 20 citizens the opportunity to take part in and experience the community at the unique royal exercise party:

« No matter who you are and how far and fast you can go or run, we all need to be part of social communities. It really means a lot and makes a huge difference for citizens to have the opportunity to become part of an event like Royal Run, feel the royal mood and together with other trials with one of the race routes, even if you may not be so strong to BEN’s Center Manager Pia Nellemann from the Special Center.

The two institutions have already warmed up well for the Royal Run, as they, as a prelude to the big, royal exercise race they held a royal side run on Ribelund the other day.

Here, both children and adults from the offers under Development Center West and the Special Center together with their relatives were given the opportunity to feel the royal atmosphere and train their legs up to Royal Run in Ribe 2nd Pentecost.
