Ticket for bus No. 123 from Narva to Narva-YESUU in the summer will cost only 1 euros
Additional buses on route No. 31 of Narva-Narva-Yesuu are not planned in the summer. But in the Ida-Viru Center for Public Transport, they hope that the commercial 123rd will save the situation thanks to the new route and the reduced fare.
As we know well from the previous years, on the hottest days of the summer months, the number of people who want to get from Narva to Narva-YESSU, to the sea and back, the public transport is hitting records, and buses working on the 31st route cannot accommodate everyone.
Anna Narvityka asked the Narva Gazeta to find out whether they plan to let an additional 31st in the summer to avoid situations when a crowded bus drives past stops at which disappointed people remain.
The head of the Ida-Viru Public Transport Center Hayki Luts told NG that there would be no additional 31-x. At the same time, he really hopes that he will defuse the situation of the 123rd “commercial” bus thanks to the new format of work.
On June 13, it will be brought to the Gobus line, which also provides the work of 31. The 123rd will transport passengers until August 20, at least, but in the case of a hot end of summer-longer.
Heiki Luts notes that on the county line 31 buses only 17 percent of customers buy a ticket for the full price, while the rest are beneficiaries.
“Now the 123rd will pass all densely populated areas of the city, which is convenient for passengers.
It also reports that for GOBUS a commercial 123 line was still unprofitable, and it was decided to try this season to radically reduce the price of travel – only to 1 euros. Last year it was 2.5 euros.
“This is much more profitable than driving from Narva to the beach by car,” Luts is sure that the change in the route will increase interest in the 123rd, which will travel from Narva to Narva-YESUSUU and back 7 times a day.
