We had to wait forty -five years for a Hungarian astronaut to rise again into the sky. On May 26, 1980, Bertalan Farkas left the ground at 8:20 pm Hungarian time on board the Soyuz-36 spacecraft with his partner Valery Kubasov.

The slippage also extended the quarantine, and astronauts have spent the last one and a half weeks in isolated. Of course, this is not to be imagined that they had to sit between the four walls, as they could meet their relatives and friends – Tibor could also talk to his family members.

And unexpectedly, tonight, another news came: Nasa postponed Tibok Tibo’s space travel on Tuesday due to strong winds. Instead of planned June 10, June 11, Hungarian time, is planning to launch the spacecraft at two o’clock in the afternoon. The reserve is available on June 12 at seven o’clock.

“The family is much more excited than me, Mom would have already knew the whole thing Tibor Kapu said on Sunday in an interview with the YouTube channel Spacejunkie. – They’re here in Florida so I could meet them. The plan is to go to Houston after the docking (here is NASA’s Texas headquarters – ed.), And when Los Angeles splashes in the sea and then we take us to Houston, we meet again.

The one and a half weeks in the quarantine did not pass without work: the experiments that will be done in space and how the cargo will be taken to the ISS International Space Station have been practiced many times. Tibors have already said goodbye to the trainers and NASA and Spacex.

– The sewing of everyone who was in space, wearing them on their spa, there are plenty of them – we watched them farewell. And of course there were speeches and cake cutting – so I ate a lot of cakes lately. And we said goodbye to the SpaceX team by gluing a sticker to the Dragon spacecraft mock-up, the original of which would bring us to space.

When Tibor remembers the training for three years, he does not deny that there were difficulties, but the beautiful memories always live more lively. Such was when he got his entry to NASA and may not even realize that he could have been able to walk in the US space office just like anyone working there. Such was the first sculpture test, which he would never forget. And, of course, the feeling of honor, which was there every day, while the program was on the ground.

This section will be closed on Wednesday, when the Dragon spacecraft will rise when everything is planned. There is a tradition among astronauts when they get to the rocket, they sit back in a special posture and look up to the space capsule.

« Because it is very difficult to move in the sculpture and the helmet hinders the view, it is not so easy to do it, » said Tibor Kapu. « And we didn’t talk to the others, but I will surely tell them that we will not break the tradition. »

As Tibor mentioned, he still didn’t realize he was going to space, he thinks « the tantus will fall down » when he was attached to the cabin in his chair. This will happen about two and a half hours before the launch. They can say goodbye to their family members five hours before departure, and then their preparation begins. About three hours before the launch, they are taken to the tower, where an elevator takes them to the spaceship. In the elevator, the top button has to be pressed, which was written: Space – in English. Before they enter the spaceship, they can call once again: they can call their loved ones from a device that was already there during the Apollo program, or fifty years ago.

« There’s huge buttons on it, and I’ll call my mother again, » Tibor told me a tiny jewelry he got from his sister and a TV maci dressed in space, which at that time was in space with Bertalan Farkas. He is looking forward to the experiments after his arrival, but also a few minutes and hours when he has nothing to do. He has a hobby that he doesn’t want to give up between the stars: he loves to play music and there is a guitar at the space station, and even knows where they are. And he didn’t tell what he would play, but he would definitely hit the strings.
