Through the lens – to infinity: Narvity woman Alla Matrosova opens a new photo exhibition
On March 4, the exhibition “Fragments of Infinity” will open in the lobby of the KD “Geneva” – the new exposition of the Narva photographer, a member of the Autori Foto photo club Alla Matrosova. Visitors are waiting for 29 pictures taken on the camera and a smartphone, which captured different moments of life – not only heaven and stars.
As Alla told the Narva newspaper, the selection of work was difficult: her photo archive is huge, and Irina Kivimae, a professional Narva photographer, who worked in the Narva newspaper, helped make the final choice.
“Most of all I like to take pictures of nature, to conduct macro -shooting,” Matrosova shares. – I have long been looking at the world through the lens, and my brain automatically “cries” everything around. Anything can inspire – people, events, nature. Many in the bustle of life do not pay attention to the stars, the sky. And they look under their feet even less often.
“Once we came to take off the northern lights, which was visible with the naked eye,” Alla recalls. – Passers -by asked in surprise: “What are you photographing here at night?”, And when they raised their eyes to the sky, they were amazed at what they saw. I would like to show my vision of the world and, possibly, inspire someone on creativity and help see beauty around.
By photography, Alla was carried away for a long time, but she began to actively shoot about 27 years ago, when her eldest son was born. Then she bought the first camera, and later, having acquired a mirror camera, went to the courses in the Autori Foto photo club to Irina Kivimay. Since then, most of her life has been associated with this club.
“Once the shooting of the northern lights seemed to me something difficult and inaccessible,” she admits. -Now I can be left without frames only because of the weather if the sky is closed.
– Is there a beloved among the works presented at the exhibition?
-Yes, a picture of the northern lights against the background of the bridge between Yykhvi and Kokhtla-Yarva. I had long dreamed of capturing him there. And one day, when, when we and my photographs, Andrei Nikitin and Irina Kivimae, went to the photo house, the dream came true. It was an unforgettable moment!
The exhibition « Fragments of infinity » will last until the end of April.
