The trade unions are preparing for what is already the 22nd strike day at the track this year. The youngest series of actions initially only assumed ACOD Spoor and ACV Transcom, but in the end VSOA Spoor, OVS and ASTB also joined. The five unions also took action in the past two Tuesdays and will also be planning a strike on April 29.
The NMBS always develops an adapted timetable based on the working -will staff. During the 24-hour strike that starts on Monday evening at 10 p.m., three will ride in the five IC trains. In addition, three in five L and sub-city S-trains also run. There will be few rush -hour trains (p) tracks.
With the actions, rail staff protest against a series of reforms that the federal government wants to implement. This includes an increase in retirement age, more flexibility for the rail employees, savings at the railway and a reform of HR Rail, the legal employer of the rail staff.
