Three foreigners arrested – Liberation

Three foreign nationals, suspected of having Green paint sprayed The Shoah Memorial, three synagogues and a Jewish restaurant in Paris on the night of Friday to Saturday, were arrested this Monday, June 2, AFP learned from a source close to the investigation.

The facts were discovered around 5:15 am on Saturday and the surveillance cameras of the memorial and two of the targeted synagogues filmed, for some, a man dressed in black and for the other, two men, one spraying with green paint and the other filming it. The investigation is conducted by territorial security for « Degradations committed due to religion ». The place of the arrests has not been specified.

But, according to a source close to the file, the three foreign nationals were leaving the country when they arrest. No message or claim was discovered on the different places targeted, which recalls « Red Hands » Tagged on the wall of the Just, at the Shoah Memorial in May 2024. In this case, three Bulgarians, suspected of having painted them, had been indicted and placed in pre -trial detention at the end of last year. These tags of « red hands », a symbol that can be linked to the lynching of Israeli soldiers in Ramallah in 2000, were analyzed by the security services as an interference operation on the part of Russian speakers.

The Green Painting Jets were immediately condemned by the Minister of the Interior Bruno Retailleau, the mayor of Paris Anne Hidalgo and the entire political spectrum, and caused the anger of Israel.
