Just in time at 3 p.m., « So-so-solidarité avec les femmes du monde » sounded on the Place de Paris for the first time. Several thousand people had followed the call of the JIF platform (Journée Internationale des Femmes) in order to jointly set a sign of women's rights and equality of all genders. The « Marche Féministe » moved loudly towards Oberstadt.

A sea of demands and statements filled the streets of the capital. The Minister for Gender Equality and Diversity, Yurika Backes (DP), was also part of the protest movement on Saturday. Just like other politicians, including Justice Minister Elisabeth Margue (CSV), the MPs Sam Tanson (Déi Gréng), Taina Bofferding (LSAP) as well as Dan Biancalana (LSAP) and Marc Baum (Déi Lénk).

Only last year, the « Comité Pour Une Paix Juste Au Proche-Orient » caused excitement when the demands for equal rights were drowned out by « Free Palestine » calls. Upon request, the JIF platform said that it was « solidarity with intersectional feminist struggles, in Luxembourg and worldwide ». “We were only there at the front of the protest because police officers told us where we have to go. We didn't plan that in this way, ”said a Palestine supporter at the time to the“ Luxembourg word ”.
