Thousands of believers make a pilgrimage to Wiltz for the Fatima pilgrimage
Every year, thousands of believers are drawn to the Fatima pilgrimage to the Ardennesstadt every year Wiltz. This year the traditional procession took place for the 57th time.
After the common prayer for rosary, believers – many from the Portuguese and Cape Verdish community – gathered with candles and flowers on the image of the mourn of Fatima. From the Dean’s Church in Niederwiltz, she pulled prayer and singing to the sanctuary of our dear wife of Fatima « Op Bäessent » to celebrate the traditional trade fair there.

The names of the 108 war dead from the parish of Niederwiltz are immortalized on boards, as well as the original wording of the vow under the portrait of Our Lady.
The first pilgrimage of Portuguese families took place in Wiltz in 1968. A tradition that has been an integral part of the Luxembourg church calendar since then.
